After landing a last-minute slot at America’s biggest EDM festival, an aspiring DJ and his loyal manager race across the desert toward a performance that could launch his career — crossing paths with a hopeless romantic, a jaded industry veteran and superstar DJ Avilo, who tempts him with fame at the cost of his integrity. Directed by Christopher Louie from a screenplay by Dylan Meyer, with legendary music supervisor Pete Tong.

Shafer developed the screenplay before the project was sold to Netflix and served as an on-set producer throughout the film’s demanding 19-day shoot, which included principal photography during several live EDM festivals.

The soundtrack featured music by Skrillex, Diplo, Flume, Disclosure and Galantis.

Released worldwide by Netflix in 2016 as its 11th original feature film.
