A short horror film

On the night of a rare black moon, a young mother hears a girl crying inside a pedestrian tunnel and enters to help. But when the tunnel becomes impossible to escape, she realizes that whatever has awakened in the darkness has no intention of letting her leave.

Starring Fabienne Tournet, Jamie M. Timmons and Brett DelBuono.

Directed by Ryan Graff, with original sound design by GAME OF THRONES Emmy winner Paula Fairfield.

Shafer developed Graff’s original story into the screenplay and produced the film, contributing to every stage from preproduction through postproduction.

Awards and Recognition:

BLACK MOON premiered at the 2019 Mórbido Fantastic Film Festival in Mexico City, where it screened in competition for the Méliès d’Argent Award. It went on to screen at more than 40 festivals worldwide and win more than 20 awards, including:
